My host madre (mom) wrote me an email yesterday and the family seems really nice. The girl, Maria, is 18, and they have two boys as well, one of them is 15 and the other is 3.
They live downtown and have a lot of things to do around them. I am excited that the oldest child is 18 because we are close in age and she'll be able to show me around to all the "cool" clubs and awesome things to do.
The email was all in Spanish and it made me feel confident that I was able to read it all without any problems or needing to look up words.
I am very excited to embark on a new part of my life but am also very nervous.

Hola!
I have never blogged before so I figure that I should probaly figure out how to do it before I find myself in Spain.
Anyway I leave for Valencia on January 13th. I am really excited but also very frightened at the same time. The School I will attend there will only have american students but there is a no English policy.
I found out that the family I will live with is a married couple with 3 young children, two boys and one girl. I do not know the exact ages but I am assuming young means below the teenage years. That is all I really know about them so far.
I'll write more as it gets closer to leaving for Spain.
Adios
